Show the frontlines some love, Toronto!

Toronto’s frontline workers continue to save lives and care for the most vulnerable people in our city amid the Omicron outbreak. So let’s show them some love by sending them some locally-sourced self-care gift packages!

 

GiftTheFrontline is a  new initiative to provide care packages to frontline workers in Toronto. The care packages contain a selection of primarily locally-sourced items designed to promote self-care. Within only a few weeks of launching the initiative, we’ve managed to put a smile on the faces of 25 frontline workers with our care packages at SickKids hospital and Community Living Toronto. But this is only the beginning.

“We’re grateful to them for their support and gift basket donations. Donations like these go a long way to showing our frontline colleagues that their hard work is recognized and appreciated by the community,” says Susie Petro, Manager, Foundation Relations, SickKids.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 by the end of March 2022, which will allow us to send gifts to 500 frontline workers in Toronto, with each gift valued at $20. Each care package includes between 4-5 items selected from the following:

 

- DAVIDsTEA premium tea sachets

- Aromatherapy botanical wax candles

- Hand-crafted organic soap (made by a local artisan)

- Small-batch shower steamer

- Collagen face mask

- Handfuel premium nuts

- Madegood granola bars

- Soul Chocolate

 

All funds go towards purchasing, packaging, and delivering the care packages with the highest level of care and adherence to COVID-19 protocols. Your donation not only gives our frontline workers some much-needed self-care; it also supports local businesses and communities. So let’s work together to show the Frontlines that we appreciate them, Toronto!
