<div>We urgently need your help in raising funds towards legal fees for two local activists, who were arrested during a peaceful protest at Elbit Systems, a company that supplies weapons and military technology for brutal use against innocent Palestinians.

<div>Who We Are:
</div>
<div>The Southwest Virginia Coalition for Palestine is asking you to donate and share this fundraiser so we can support these dedicated activists who believe in standing up against injustice wherever it may occur. All funds will be used for legal fees only.

<div>What Happened:
</div>
<div>During a peaceful demonstration against Elbit Systems, our friends were arrested for allegedly trespassing on unmarked and poorly marked areas of grass outside the fence. The public sidewalk near this area was being used to facilitate the peaceful demonstration. Our friends were exercising their constitutional rights to peacefully protest and draw attention to Elbit's complicity in human rights violations by profiting from what many experts agree to be genocide in Gaza.

</div>
<div>Why We Need Your Support:
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, the legal fees associated with defending against these charges are substantial. Our friends are facing an uphill battle in court, and they need financial support to secure adequate legal representation. By contributing to this fundraiser, you will help ensure that they receive a fair trial and have the opportunity to defend themselves against these unjust charges.
</div>

</div>
<div>Why It Matters:
</div>
<div>The actions of Elbit Systems have had devastating consequences for countless individuals around the world. From supplying weapons used in conflicts to supporting the militarization of borders, Elbit Systems has consistently prioritized profit over human rights. By protesting against this company, our friends were standing up for the values of justice, peace, freedom, and equality, for all people and particularly for Palestinians.

</div>
<div>How You Can Help:
</div>
<div>Your donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in our friends' ability to fight these charges. Please consider contributing whatever you can and sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, and social networks. Together, we can ensure that our friends receive the support they need to continue their important work for justice and human rights.

</div>
<div>We know that this is one part of the much bigger injustice. Thank you for your support.
