Steve's Shoulder Surgery & Recovery

A few weeks ago our dad Steve was injured while on the job. Most of you know that Steve's full time occupation consists of long hours huddled under horses, cleaning horses feet, precisely shaping horseshoes, and thoughtfully caring for clients (horses and people) to ensure quality and trust.  During a routine day on the job he was forcefully shoved by one the horses causing injury to his right shoulder and consequently leaving him with almost no mobility and in excruciating pain. 

After consulting with the docs, they have determined that his old shoulder replacement that was completed in 2012 has been damaged by the impact and will need to be surgically manipulated in order to regain function and his ability to work. He will be heading into surgery on Wednesday, November 8th.

With this unexpected injury he will be unable to work for 2 months or longer and will be responsible for roughly $6,000 in medical expenses in addition to loss of income.  While they have worked tirelessly with insurance and disability, our mom and dad are in a state of financial concern as Steve is the main supporter of their monthly income.

Pride aside, we have decided to put out some feelers in hopes that our family, friends, and community might help them through this time.  Thank you for your time and thoughts!
