Four - Short Film

UPDATE: We're extremely happy to announce that we finished Four on February of 2020. The film is currently making its rounds through national and international film festivals. We'd like to thank everyone who has donated to our project and to all the new donors who continue to support our film.

UPDATE: I'm extremely happy to announce that we shot Four on October 19th and 20th, in Los Angeles. We were lucky to put together an incredible crew and cast, featuring Eoin Macken, Rachel Murray, Michelle Degraye and Greyson Reilley. Now we go into post production but we still need your help to finish the film. Please donate and you will be helping us with costs related to post production and fees necessary to submit the film to festivals. Below is a breakdown of what you can get for your donation. My name is Eduardo Petersen. I'm a creative director at an advertising agency in New York and an aspiring writer and director.

Four is my first project as a filmmaker and I'm super excited about this story, but, I do need your help to bring it to life. Four is a 12-minute short film that tells the story of a husband and father going through the fourth stage of grief (depression) who argues with his wife in hopes of getting his family back together.

Depression affects millions of people in the world, and in the United States alone is responsible for an average of 45,000 suicides a year. Yet, it's not a topic that receives enough attention in our society. I believe that Four can shine a light on this issue and generate awareness for mental health. To achieve that the film will be launched on YouTube, Vimeo and entered in multiple national and international film festivals.

I know I need a lot of money to make this film, but I do want to make sure everyone involved with the project gets paid. Donate if you can, share this fundraiser if you want to help in other ways, or do both. The more people find out about the project the more likely I'll reach my goal.

The film is scheduled to shoot in March 2019 and to be finalized in April 2019. Here's a breakdown of where the money you are donating is going to:

Meu nome é Eduardo Petersen. Eu sou diretor de criação de uma agência de publicidade em Nova Iorque e futuro escritor e diretor.

Four é o meu primeiro projeto como cineasta e eu estou super empolgado em poder executar essa idéia. Four é um curta metragem de 15 minutos sobre um agente do FBI que está passando pelo quarto estágio do luto (depressão) e discute com a esposa com a esperança de reconciliar sua família.

A depressão afeta milhões de pessoas no mundo inteiro. Só nos Estados Unidos é responsável por uma média de 45.000 suicídios por ano. Mesmo assim, não é um tópico discutido suficientemente na sociedade atual. Eu acredito que Four pode gerar atenção para doenças mentais. Para alcançar esse objetivo, o filme será publicado no YouTube, Vimeo e inscrito em diversos festivais nacionais e internacionais de cinema.

Eu sei que preciso de um valor alto para conseguir produzir o filme, mas quero ter certeza que todos envolvidos no processo sejam devidamente pagos.
