Short Film: Landfills are Goldmines

Hello! My name is Cassandra Rosado, as a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in film and Acting I have been focused on my passion of screenwriting. My free time has been dedicated to working on a script that I hope to develop into a short film. The subject matter of this short is of a current social issue that I am extremely passionate about and feel it is my responsibility, as part of the next generation of future filmmakers, to address these social issues the only way I know how, which is through my art. This short film will address the current Opioid epidemic sweeping our nation, and destroying this generation. I feel it is vital to bring to light the harsh reality of what the people suffering from this epidemic are going through, as well as the loved ones who surround them. As I continue my studies in acting and work part time the funds I would like to raise would be to support the actual production and creation of my film. As well as fund the distribution of this film to festivals, and further educate our society on an issue that is continuing to be silenced. My plan is to begin production by September 9th. A portion of these donations would be used for distribution purposes. Therefore donations will still be accepted beyond our scheduled shoot date.
