ShopAmery Stimulus

As we enter our 5th week of ‘Safer at Home”, we can see that the nonessential businesses of the Amery area are being devastated by this closing – bars, restaurants, salons, barbers, gift shops. jewelry shops, service and professional, etc, etc.

We have developed a stimulus plan to help restart nonessential businesses in Amery and surrounding areas on their reopening. In conjunction with the Amery Community Club and Amery Economic Development Corporation, we plan on selling Stimulus Scrip Money at 50% off face value that can be redeemed by businesses at 100% of face value. Scrip money is a substitute for legal tender in Amery as distributed by the Amery Community Club. We plan on funding this endeavor by accepting donations of stimulus monies or other funds from individuals and businesses of Amery and the surrounding area.

 We will be accepting pledges to reach a goal of $25,000 by April 30th 2020, which will give us $50,000 to invest back into our community. We have $5800 pledged so far and hope that our caring community will donate even more.
