Shoes, Hoodies & Jackets for Refugee children.

I work with a group refugee children ages 4 to 18 years old four days a week. These children have been forced to leave their home countries in order to escape a number of horrible things the likes of which none of us will ever have to deal with in our lives... war, persecution, extreme poverty, natural disasters, etc. The majority of these kids are being raised by a single parent with very few resources. Over the past several weeks I have noticed that many of these kids are playing soccer barefoot because they don’t have any shoes to wear. With temperatures dropping and winter rapidly approaching I am growing concerned for these kids, because while they keep showing up, none of them have jackets! Most of them don’t even have sweatshirts! I am raising money to be able to provide these kids with the proper clothing to keep them safe through the winter. Colorado winters can be brutally cold with lots of snow – no child should ever have to face a Colorado winter barefoot or in flip flops without a jacket. These kids have been through a lot and it would mean the world to me if you could find it in your heart to help out and donate whatever you can. Together we can make this world a better place!
