James Wojciechowski aka "Wojo" as he is known to his friends, family, and coworkers is a 24 year Southwest Airlines employee, and he has spent 22 years as a flight attendant. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). Wojo is the Father of two beautiful and talented girls Kirsten (15) and Kendall (9). He met his beautiful fiance, Heidi Hashman while working a flight to St. Louis. The only flaw die hard Chicago Cubs fan Wojo could find was her love for the St Louis Cardinals! Cardinals and Cubs equal true love forever.
Wojo recently had an injury at work. He was hit in the head by the airplane door. When he got to his overnight in Cincinnati he was taken to a hospital where a cat scan revealed 2 tumors. One of the tumors was located above his right ear and the other is attached to his Brain Stem which is inoperable. He was then diagnosed with Glioblastoma Brain Cancer Stage 4! On June 25, 2018 Wojo had surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee to remove the tumors. Jim will begin Radiation and Chemo tomorrow July 16, 2018. He will have 33 days for the for the first cycle of radiation and then do 6-12 months of once a week every month.
Jim and Heidi are overwhelmed with this diagnosis. This is an Urgent Matter. They need help and relief. Thankfully Heidi is a Nurse Practitioner and can assist Wojo while he is being treated. The hospital bills are mounting by the day. I am personally asking for help to raise money for Wojo and his family while he is being treated and to keep him as comfortable as possible. He has been not only a dear friend of mine for 20 years, but also a person who has continually given back to others in his personal and professional life. Now he needs us. Leslie Mullins, Kris Gatz, and myself will keep everyone updated. Wojo and Heidi need their rest during this difficult and stressful time. Lots of Prayers are needed. Please Uplift Wojo, Heidi, and His Daughters in Prayer.
A Little Known Fact: Jim aka Wojo has been running The Music City Golf Classic that benefits the Nashville Ronald McDonald House sine 2002. It is time to give back to this courageous couple. Also Gray is the color for the Brain Cancer Ribbon. Lets Help Now Today: The Next 6 weeks are very Critical. God Bless and God Speed. Team Wojo aka: Iron Man
