Shirrell Majors Celebration of Life

Mr. Shirrell Lynn Majors, of Chattanooga, TN died in his home after a short battle with cancer, surrounded by his family on August 27th, 2017. He was 68 years old.
Shirrell is survived by his Wife Helen Majors, his children Anthony Majors, Shelly Dahlhauser and Brian Plemons; and his five grandchildren Emic, Miracle, Emma, Jacob and Grant; He is preceded in death by his parents Austin and Ressie Majors and Sister Ruth Majors.
His early years in the navy allowed Shirrell to see the world and appreciate home. His passion for the American Armed Forces and love of his home was evident in his daily life. Anyone who knew Shirrell knew of his passions in life – God – Family – Nascar – and Tennessee Football.
As Shirrell’s success grew in business so did his giving heart – He gave where he could, He gave to family and strangers alike. Always making sure no one went without.
This fundraiser is setup to provide Helen with the means to pay for funeral expenses and assist in her desire to fullfill Shirrell and Helen's dream of retirement - moving fulltime to Daytona, Florida. Shirrell loved the beach and his new found joy for golf.
The marriage between Shirrell and Helen is a wonderful story that we hope you can hear from Helen one day.
Starting over is always a difficult endeavour but we hope this fundraiser will help smooth the transistion from wife to widow.
Being in a family is always a challenge, but in the end family is always missed when they are gone.

Viewing: Heritage Funeral Home : 7454 E. Brainerd Rd. Chattanooga, TN 37421 @ 4 to 8pm Tuesday August 29th 2017.
Funeral: Heritage Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday Aug 30th 11:30am with travel to National Cemetary starting at 12:30pm - Burial services will include the playing of Taps and presentitation of the Flag.
Celebration of Life: Family and Friends are invited immediately following the funeral - 1512 Pinegrove Road, Ringgold GA 30736 at the home of David and Jane Thurman.
