Shirley Gibson Needs Help With Assisted Living

Our dear friend Shirley has ALS. ALS ("Lou Gehrig's disease") is a very rare nervous system disease without a cure. Unfortunately, Shirley is no longer able to care for herself and she needs 24-hour care.  Shirley was recently moved to hospice, where she will remain for the remainder of her time. Hospice is very expensive and insurance does not cover the cost. Shirley is unable to pay for the high cost of hospice and needs help with this expense. The only way to ensure that Shirley can stay in hospice and continues receiving the care that she needs during this difficult time is to raise the money to pay for the cost of hospice, which costs $7,500 per month. 100% of donations received will go directly to pay for the cost of hospice. This situation is extremely urgent because if we do not raise enough money to pay for hospice, Shirley will be kicked out without a place to live and will not get the care she desperately needs. We are hoping to raise enough money to pay for cost for the next two months of hospice. Any amount you can give will help and would be greatly appreciated.    I will be withdrawing the funds into my personal account and then writing a check to  Monte Vista Villages for the monies owed for her 24 hour care.
