Shirin's Fight For Cancer

My sister, Shirin, is 29 years old and lives in Texarkana, Texas. She has the most precious boys, Mason turned two in October and Bennett is four months old! Shortly after Bennett was born we found out Shirin will be battling breast cancer, ductal carcinoma in situ
to be exact. This young lady is an RN and works tireless hours taking care of others. In the next couple of weeks she will have to take time off to ensure she heals from a double mastectomy. My family has been blessed with this young lady who is not like any 29 year old you will ever meet. When my mother was pregnant with her, we all thought she was a boy because how active she was. I though knew she was just a tough fiesty girl. And she has been ever since she came into this world. As a kid she had epilipsey, never complained just powered through.  On her journey crushing Cancer I want to help her and her growing family the next couple of months with prayer and any additional support out there. She just started a new job right before finding out she had Cancer, her place of work has had employees volunteering to donate their PTO, since she did not have any. Thank You Jesus, we are so appreciative of all of the support and prayers everyone has shown. As many of you know when switching jobs during or right before a major illness can make finances and obtaining insurance even a little more trickier. They have cashed in their retirement and savings to help Shirin fight this battle. I am hoping that this page can help provide them with a  little financial support for the health insurance she needs to pay as well as additional expenses to and from her doctors in Dallas. This journey is not an easy one and I am hoping to give them a little peace of  mind. And if you know her like I do, you will know how hard it was for me to talk her into doing this. I couldn't talk her into letting me start this page, so I just did it. That is what big sisters do :)
