Ship Container -Help Puerto Rico

I was tired of seeing the news and realizing that no one was doing anything about the tragedy in Puerto Rico. So... let's do something. Everything will be given away for FREE. 

I have put down a deposit on a large shipping container. The container sails out of Pennsauken New Jersey and goes to Humacao. This area is in the most need as the east of the island was hit the hardest and the port of San Juan is inaccessible. The ship sails on October 8th so we are in a race against the clock. The container is 40' x 8' x 9'6, about 3000 sq ft. That is enough to provide five hundred  4-person family supplies for 1 week. My biggest fear is not being able to fill it. So I need need need your help. 

Deposit: $1751.68 (full price 3503.36) 
Supplies as much as we receive estimate $6000+ to fill it. 


Part 1: Donate money or if you want to donate supplies and are in the New York City area please email [email redacted]. 

Things we need: 
Toiletries (soap, deodorant, toilet paper etc)
large bags of rice
canned meat
canned beans and other non-perishable food
diapers
baby formula
bedding
bottled water
shoes
female feminine products
over the counter medicine and medical supplies
bags of cement or other construction materials
whatever you can!

Part 2:
If your family is within 70 miles or can drive to Humacao please send me an email with their name in the subject. Include what they need and a way to contact them so that I can message them when to arrive at the Port. 

I have family in New York helping with the collection and in PR helping the distribution efforts. Whatever is not picked up will be donated to the American red cross and any money not used will be donated to the San Juan Food bank (Banco de Alimentos).
