Thank you for your generous support of these highly important conservation efforts.

For the past 5 years I have been the Director of Development for Shinta Mani Hotels.  A major part of my role is in managing and growing the Shinta Mani Foundation.
All donations will be received into my USA Citibank Account and 100% of those donations will be transferred directly to the Shinta Mani Foundation Bank Account inCambodia.

Shinta Mani Wild is the frontlines of conservation, we prevent illegally trapped animals from even getting into the international markets.   Your donation is crucial to these efforts.

THANK YOU,
Jason M. Friedman

WHO WE ARE
Shinta Mani’s community activities began in 2004 with the opening of the Shinta Mani Hotel and Institute of Hospitality Siem Reap. This innovative business combined a for-profit hotel with a non-profit institute that trains young under-privileged Cambodians in all aspects of hotel operations on a free of charge basis – providing them the skills to find employment and to enjoy a brighter future. Over two-hundred seventy (270) Khmer students have graduated and the Shinta Mani has been able to help one-hundred percent of these students obtain work in the hospitality industry.

Because the hotel’s social enterprise model attracted such interest and support, in 2006 Shinta Mani expanded programs to support more of the community. The Shinta Mani focuses on empowering families through a number of educational, health, and development programs and micro-financed opportunities for interested, qualified individuals. In 2011, all such community projects were unified under an independent and locally registered (Cambodian) not-for- profit organization known as the Shinta Mani Foundation.

OUR VISION
To see a strong prosperous Cambodia where families are strong and communities become centers of activity and support escaping the devastation and cycle of poverty.

OUR MISSION
To empower the Cambodian people by giving them access to education and opportunities for the betterment of their lives.

EDUCATION
Cambodia has one of the largest populations of unskilled youth in all of South East Asia. Shinta Mani Foundation assists these young people by teaching them skills needed to obtain meaningful employment.

The Hospitality Training Program educates students from disadvantaged backgrounds in hotel operations. Each student will have classroom instruction and an internship at a Shinta Mani Hotel. Over a period of ten months, they receive free tuition, uniforms, materials, meals and a stipend to help support their families.

HEALTHCARE
Medical costs are some of the most debilitating expenses for families in Cambodia; many do not receive adequate care. By educating rural Cambodians on important medical related issues as well as supporting individuals who have immediate medical needs, we help ensure long-term family welfare and stability.

MICRO-FINANCE
Shinta Mani Foundation provides interest-free loans to local entrepreneurs to start a business or to university students to complete a degree. After loans are repaid, we reuse funds by supporting new entrepreneurs and students seeking to fulfill dreams.

WILDLIFE PROTECTION
Shinta Mani Foundation has partnered with Wildlife Alliance to support patrols in the last remaining untouched forest of Cambodia. Together we work to stop poaching of animals and illegal logging. In only our first year, we have pulled thousands of snares, confiscated hundreds of chainsaws, and brought to justice offenders.
