The current situation as of 16 September

After last night and this morning, I have come to the realization that he is at the end of the road. The downhill spiral of his condition has not slowed since Sunday. He is isn't moving around as much now, and he is clearly more tired and lethargic- I have to beg him to eat his favorite treats with his meds now, and honestly, even if I were to find out what is making him this way, he is at the point where he is too far gone. Its hard for me to accept this, but it is best I let him go now, so I am changing the goal.

I want to bring him back to FL so I can do it there, where he can see one last time everyone he grew up with since he was a puppy. I am off until Monday, so I can make the trip happen but since I am in between jobs and I also need to pay for the euthanization, I just need help covering the drive to, back, food in between and a spot to sleep to and from since I plan on making this 28 hour drive a two day trip one way and another two day back. Worse case scenerio, I can aim to do the euthanization here, alongside cremation, but that still costs a pretty penny. Any bit helps.

To help explain where the funds would go...

Tucson AZ to Jacksonville FL is roughly a 1935 mile drive according to google. Assuming I get 40 miles a gallon in my hybrid, that is roughly 97 gallons of gas to and from, and assuming the average gas price is $3.12 a gallon (pulled from travelmath.com) that is $302.64.

A hotel in Houston (halfway point) that is pet friendly appears to be roughly $50 according to priceline, and pet fees typically are another $25 an animal- I will have both dogs with me so I will need to pay the pet fee again on the way back so keeping it simple we'll say $75 a hotel, for $150 total (Running total $452.64)

Euthonization.. At home appears to be $350-450, which would be most ideal if but I'll be more realistic. its too hard for me to look up costs of clinics individually let alone call the local clinics there, so according to google average cost of in clinic is $100-300, we'll say $200 for middle of the road + a little extra to be safe, making new running total $652.64, so setting the ultimate goal to $800 to possibly cover at home service so he can go in the comfort of home and not some clinic.

Hello, my name is David and honestly, this is a long shot and truely, it is such short notice for me to try for this and really probably too late.

Last month my dog shinobi, the one in the picture, started developing a bump on the side of his snout. I didn't think much of it at first, he had a tooth extracted near that spot and I figured it was an absess so I took him in for a vet appointment to get that treated. Unfortunately, it was not and the vet, concerned, took a biopsy of him to see what it might be. The results of the biopsy came in a couple weeks ago I think the way they said it, negative for cancer however, that spot truely needs a CT scan from what I'm being told. I honestly don't have the money for that, if I did I would gladly pay it in a heart beat just so I know where to proceed from there. He got the sutures removed on the 5th, and I was told the bleeding should stop after a few days, but due to the location it is prone to bleeding. Unfortunately, it has been 10 days and he still is bleeding, and yesterday I had to take him into an urgent care to clean up the spot because it was leaking pus. The one picture in there with the unfortunate swollen face is immediately after said clean up.

Life is funny I guess... About a year and a half ago, he was hit by a car and I nearly lost him that day, but he pulled through and is walking around like nothing happened, but given just a lil more time and now it looks like I may lose him to cancer instead. I'm honestly at a loss for words, but I'm at least happy I had a bit more time with him...

I'm being quoted roughly a thousand or so for a thorough cleaning including nasal, and on top of that whatever the cost of a CT scan is. Though, now that I'm at my local vet the price may fluctuate but I assume it'll be close to that quoted amount. If I can at least get the cleanup done, I would like to do that to make him as comfortable as possible for as long as I can, and if by some miracle I can pull it off, I'd like to get the CT scan done to attempt to treat this if at all possible.

I'm honestly not expecting this, but, I would do anything for this dog to make his last moments comfortable if it comes to that. Thank you all for your time for reading this, and please do not feel obligated to donate to this- I'm just taking a shot at helping him.
