Hi!!
My name is Jo, and with a friend of mine with the name also Jo...have started a free, digital publication called Shine For Girls Magazine.
It's a magazine to empower girls aged 7-12 years old. We write articles to help girls chase their dreams and bring them to reality, embrace their gifts and talents, change negative situations into positive, be kind, healthy and encourage each other to do well.
Our dream is to facilitate the healthy growth and development of young girls into powerful resilient young women. Shine for Girls Magazine celebrates the everyday girl, creates awareness of her very special self and others giving her tools to deal with issues. We want to keep the magazine free so that it is available to every girl, on a global level, regardless of her socioeconomic background. People like the school librarian can print paper copies off for kids who don't have access to a device. We want to help girls to reach their goals, fill their cups to overflowing and help others do the same.
So far we have published two editions and have received amazing feedback from parents and teachers.
To release our February edition we now need money for costs including legal, accounting, business set up fees and our graphic designer.
This magazine has been a creation from our hearts and has taken many hours of work. However in the light of the 'me too' campaign, the effects of bullying and teenage suicide, being able to reach the hearts and minds of young girls is paramount.
Your donation could save and greatly improve the quality of life for so many young girls. Given that young girls are all potential professionals, wives and mothers (in any order).....I can only imagine what they could achieve loaded with strength, integrity and positive self belief from reading our magazine in their early years. We would greatly appreciate your help in continuing to publish our beautiful Shine for Girls Magazine.
