Safe Cleanup for LA Fires

Please Help Us Provide Immediate Protection for Our Community and the Environment from the Toxins Generated by the LA Fires
Who We Are
We are ITS Environmental, an environmental solutions company specializing in innovative, eco-friendly products that help reduce pollution in the air, soil, and water. Based in Los Angeles, California, we have been committed to providing sustainable cleanup technologies for over 20 years.
At ITS Environmental, we are dedicated to helping industries thrive while protecting both the environment and human health. Our founder, Pilar Ortega, has spent her career developing solutions that allow sustainability and industrial success to coexist. She firmly believes that industries do not have to choose between profitability and environmental responsibility—they can achieve both. Through innovative, eco-friendly technologies, we make it possible for businesses to reduce waste, lower emissions, and create safer working environments while remaining competitive.
Our Connection to the Cause
As a Los Angeles-based company, we are deeply affected by the wildfires devastating our community. Our families, friends, neighbors, and first responders are struggling with the toxic wildfire pollution contaminating the air, water, and soil.
At ITS Environmental, we are a women-owned small business dedicated to providing proven solutions that immediately reduce exposure to harmful toxins. However, we lack the resources to make these solutions widely accessible to those who need them most. As a small business, we do not have the means or infrastructure to meet this urgent need alone.
That’s why we are turning to you for support—to help firefighters, cleanup crews, and families as they work to restore their homes and communities after the fires. With your help, we can provide immediate relief, protect those on the front lines, and accelerate recovery efforts.
The Hidden Danger of Toxins in the Air, Water, and Soil
Wildfires release toxic volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other hazardous materials, including:
• Benzene, toluene, and formaldehyde – from burned gasoline, paints, and building materials
• Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) – from burning trees, plastics, and fossil fuels
• Heavy metals (lead, mercury, arsenic) – from destroyed buildings, gas stations, and tires
• Sulfur dioxide (SO₂) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) – which contribute to smog and respiratory illnesses
These toxins remain in airborne ash, soil, and water, posing serious health risks to first responders, cleanup workers, and residents. If not properly managed, these pollutants seep into the soil and contaminate groundwater, threatening drinking water and ecosystems.
Immediate Health Risks
⚠️ Respiratory issues (coughing, throat irritation, shortness of breath)
⚠️ Headaches, dizziness, and nausea
⚠️ Eye, nose, and skin irritation
Long-Term Health Risks with Continued Exposure
❌ Chronic lung conditions (asthma, COPD)
❌ Increased cancer risk (benzene, formaldehyde, PAHs are known carcinogens)
❌ Heart disease and neurological issues due to prolonged exposure to heavy metals and toxic gases
These toxins pose an ongoing danger to firefighters, volunteers, and families cleaning up their homes. If not properly managed, they can contaminate drinking water and ecosystems for years.
How the Funds Will Be Used
We are raising funds to produce, distribute, and deploy our proven wildfire cleanup solutions to protect people and the environment from harmful toxins.
Every dollar donated will go directly toward:
Providing all of our listed products at no cost to individuals and families who cannot afford them—ensuring immediate protection by preventing airborne toxins from spreading during cleanup efforts.
Hiring media personnel to provide critical information to first responders, volunteers, and residents about the safe use of our non-toxic products for cleanup.
Building an emergency response network to ensure the rapid deployment of our products to the most affected communities.
Covering transportation and logistics costs to quickly get these life-saving products to those in need.
Immediate Protection with GTS-VOC Suppressant & GTS-2000
Our proven solutions offer immediate relief from wildfire contaminants:
GTS-VOC Suppressant – Used in major refineries, this product is 100% effective at encapsulating harmful VOCs in the air. It reduces airborne toxins from ash and contaminated soil, preventing further exposure. If needed, it can be used with microorganisms to further break down hazardous waste.
✔️ Certified by the California South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) as a Clean Air Choices Cleaner.
GTS-2000 – A non-toxic, eco-friendly multipurpose cleaner that does not contribute to additional contamination when cleaning surfaces.
✔️ Certified by the California South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) as a Clean Air Choices Cleaner.
⚠️ Not all cleaning products are safe for post-fire cleanup—some can actually worsen contamination by adding toxins to the waste. Using the right products is critical to protecting both people and our precious resources.
