As most of your know my nana was diagnosed with lung cancer 4 years ago and was given a short amount of time to live. 4 years later she is still here and still battling this terrible disease and it has been anything but easy for her. Multiple rounds of Chemo and radiation and then becoming very ill put her in the hospital. Dr stated that she would liking not be coming home. Two weeks spent on oncology and rehab and she was on her way home! My nana is the strongest person I know but unfortunately cancer was not finished with her. Nana has had hundreds and scans each time receiving the sane news, cancer is spreading and becoming progressively worse but nothing stops my nana and God was not finished with her yet! So she continued with chemo but became very ill so chemo was stopped. Fast forward to two months ago nana was found unresponsive then she was taken to the hospital and was given 24 hours to live. The hospital placed family and friends in a room to say their final goodbyes. About 12 hours later nana woke up! Hospice informed us the terminal patients do sometimes go through things like this and it could last a day or even a month. They considered it her last "hoorah."

Two months later, here we are and nana is still here! I told you God is not finished with her! Unfortunately after a routine scan on 8/28 we were given more devoststing news, the cancer is now in both lungs (stage 4 ), stomach, and liver and continuing to grow rapidly. The next day 8/29 nana was admitted again to the hospital suffering from severe chest pain. Her lung is now almost fully collapsed and was given another short time limit of 4-6 months. Here we are today, nana finally got to go home where she is required to be on oxygen 24/7. My nana is such a strong lady but we all feel as it is time to start getting some things in order. My nanas final wishes are to receive a portable oxygen concentrator to avoid carrying multiple heavy oxygen tanks, making her more mobile in her final months. These cost thousands of dollars and are not covered through hospice or insurance. Additionally, nanas wish is to not leave the financial burden of funeral expenses to her 3 children as she is unable to obtain life insurance health and financially wise. Nana sustained a back injury 20 years ago leaving her unable to work, surviving on disability benefits alone.

Finally, nana has two great grandchildren, Gussie (3) who she has only met once and Amelia who she has never met (5 months). It has also been about three years since I have seen my nana in person.

Please help support us in bringing home me and my girls, purchasing a portable oxygen concentrator, and giving my nana a proper and deserving funeral.

Once nana does pass it is the family's plan to donate the oxygenator to an individual experiencing the same needs as nana as these are extremely hard to obtain.

Lastly please keep my nana and family in your thoughts and prayers!!

Thank you!
