Sherri Lynn can use continued prayers and monetary contributions.
She is being evaluated for a lung transplant.
There is still a long journey of recovery ahead of her.
Please help as your heart directs you.

11.28.17
Sherri Lynn still needs continued support and prayers. I asked her for an update:
We are still waiting on word for Medicaid. We asked for the help of Senator Cornyn’s office and they at first seemed to want to help but went back on their word of trying to help speed up the process and we are back to ground ZERO. It can be up to 6 months to hear anything, either being accepted or denied. It looks like I’m stuck here at the hospital here at Kingwood Medical until January 1st when Obama care starts up. Methodist won’t take me without insurance. I’ve been here for 3 months and 5 days.
I’m needing funds to pay for a lung transplant bc the cost won’t be fully covered by either Medicaid or Obama care and the first year the cost of surgery, Dr. visits, medication and hospital stays can be $750,000.00.
I should eventually be approved by Medicaid and will have some type of insurance but it will come nowhere near covering my cost.
We are just a family who wants to live a simple normal life together. This is very scary to go thru and unfortunately I have seen my mother and brother taken by this horrible disease. We have our Faith and Hope in Our Lord and know He is watching over us and we are taking this a day at a time. We also know everything happens in Gods time, not our time. We just pray we are able to get the help we need and any donations are appreciated.

10.28.17 Sherri Lynn in DIER NEED OF HELP!!!
In the hospital because of IPF Lung disease ON HIGH FLOW OXYGEN because of  condition. She has been in hospital for 2 months and 5 Days. Sherri needs a lung transplant but can’t get to the transplant Hospital she needs because she has no health insurance.
Her family will sign up for Obama care Nov 1st but that won’t go into affect until January 1, 2018. She can’t leave the hospital and go home because of the type of oxygen she is on. She can't get it at home.
She is trying to get transferred to Methodist Hospital in Houston Texas to be evaluated for being a candidate and for being put on the list.
She needs a lung transplant and is stuck at Kingwood Hospital in Kingwood Texas. They are doing all they can for her but they are not equipped to give her the help she needs like Methodist. Understandably, she feels like a prisoner.
Her husband filed for SSDI and Medicaid/Medicare and they are waiting to hear back from them. Some have said it can take up to 6 months to years to qualify. A Dr at Kingswood Med. said something about trying to get her case taken before a judge to approve Medicaid/Care (not certain which one) to be expedited since she is in the hospital waiting. The Dr. said get a lawyer to go before a judge, show him her case and how sick she is.
Sherri needs any guidance/insight/information on how to do this or who to call. Does she get an attorney and where does she find a good one who doesn’t charge up front?
Understandably she is SCARED, lost and in this life and death situation has had every door shut in her face.
FROM SHERRY:
We are hard working middle class family who has NEVER asked for any type of government assistant. We just couldn’t afford the insurance thru my husband’s company because where he works only has less than 50 employees and we couldn’t afford it. I was starting a new job specifically for insurance two days after I fell into renal failure and my lungs got worse. Before Aug. 23 I could breathe without oxygen and went to gym 5 to 6 days a week. Yes, I struggled a bit to breath but not bad enough to need oxygen. Once I started my job and had insurance, the first thing I was going to do is make an appointment with Dr Frost my Pulminary Dr.
Can anyone guide Sherry on what she needs to do because she can’t leave the Hospital. The hospital is air for her. Methodist won’t take her now because of no insurance.
Methodist will accept her Jan 1 if she gets Obama Care or SSDI, Medicaid/Care sees her records and knows her condition is fatal.
FROM SHERRI:
My family is falling apart. My Dad Joe Mckamie has buried my mom at 46 with this disease in 1987 and my brother with this disease at 28 in 1996 and now here I am. I’m at a loss of places to turn, the Hospital is at a loss of outlets to turn too.
Do you have any suggestions or help for me. I am literally begging you for help or helping me find ways to get me to a lung transplant Hospital. Does ANYONE have suggestions on what we need to do or where to start? If you know of a lawyer or anyone who has gone thru this who may have answers please contact me.
Thank you,
Sherri McKamie Seiford

10.27.17 UPDATE
Sherri has given me the OK to share the current challenge she faces: being transferred to a specialized hospital and evaluated for a lung transplant.

Please help if you can.
Continued Prayers and any cash support for sure. : )
__________________________________________________________
Sherri Lynn fell ill and has been in the hospital for more than a month going on two.
Unfortunately she will be in the hospital for an undetermined amount of time.
All funds raised are for Sherri and her family during this most difficult time.
I feel so helpless to make her well but I can offer some funds to help during this most difficult of times.
Contribute with prayers first and donate monetarily if you can.
Please share if you know of others that would like to help. The goal can be overachieved. : )
