Sheradin Stark

As many of you know, Sheradin Stark was involved in an atv accident on Sunday, August 12th. She's been at Cardinal Glennon hospital since the accident with a collapsed lung. She's had tests, procedures, will be undergoing surgery, and still has an unknown recovery time ahead of her.

Alisha (Sheradin's mom) has not been able to work during this time. Jon (her dad) has also missed many days of work.

Many of you have been asking how you can help Sheradin and the family and by helping them financially, they can continue to focus on Sheradin and her progress without the added stress of bills piling up, hospital bills, gas money for trips back and forth to the hospital, and all the other added expenses they have during this time.

It's scary to think how unexpected accidents could happen at any time and how hard life is during this time. I know that the race family/community understands this and it is wonderful how supportive everyone is through times like these. Thank you for your donations to help Sheradin and the family get through these injuries and get back on the road to recovery.

Update:Sheradin is in surgery now. The surgeon said two days in ICU, atleast two more weeks in the hospital and plus home care after that. So for that reason I am going to increase our goal. Thank you to all that have donated. The Starks are overwhelmed with your generosity and what a relief they are already feeling.

I will update as necessary.

Update: August 27
Sheradin is being released from the hospital today. She is still battling with an infection at the surgery site that they are currently treating with antibiotics. She will have to go in every 2 weeks for a scope of the surgery site to check that it is healing properly and scar tissue is not blocking her airway. She is a tough little girl. Though mentally she is ready to get back to normal life- it's going to be a long time before she is able to do so. She is far from being "healed" and her recovery time is still unknown at this point. We are all so thankful for her progress and still praying she continues to heal correctly without any more complications. At this point it's a waiting game to see what information the doctor appointments and scopes will bring.
