Thank you for visiting this page. Unfortunately Shericka passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017. Although we initially started this fund to help with medications and her daughters....the Rally continues. Due to the circumstances, these funds will now be utilized for the funeral arrangements as well as trust accounts for her daughters. Please read the story below and continue to support.
To many she is known as Minina. But to us, she is Shericka. A loving mother of two: Imiyah (13) and Milahnia (10). Shericka is warm-hearted, silly, the life of the party, and always remains happy even when she’s sad.
On March 3, 2017 the unexpected happened. While in the grocery store with Imiyah and Milahnia, after feeling lightheaded and thinking she was suffering from food poisoning and dehydration, she headed to the emergency room where a battery of tests were run. Shericka was informed that she had Stage 4 Breast Cancer. Within a week, the cancer had spread rapidly throughout her body. In the doctor’s opinion our friend only had a few weeks to live from that point on. In disbelief—that diagnosis and those results were matched to the wrong patient. Other tests were ran giving the same results. How could this be? Our friend is only 29 years old and has so much more to see in life. Shericka underwent several blood transfusions. Due to the circumstances, it is impossible for Shericka to work as she is undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
Because of God she’s still with us! While she continues getting chemo weekly, she will also be taking an alternative holistic route, which insurance doesn't cover. We would like to continue these measures but due to the difficult personal circumstances, she can't do it alone. Shericka not only has to support her two beautiful children but expensive medical bills and medications are more than she can bare alone.We are asking for family and friends to support. No amount is too small—everything counts.
