I had brain surgery on Oct 3, 2017. Doctors were able to remove 97% of my tumor. I refused to have chemo or radiation and I did Phoenix Tears/Rick Simpson Oil instead. It costs $22.00 a gram for the RSO and I needed to do 2 ounces to kill the tumor so it cost me approximately $1500.00 to do this one dosage. I did the 2 ounces and in January 2018 my MRI came back clean. What does that mean? It means I still have cancer but it buys me time to live longer.
On Sept 17, 2018 I did my 9 month MRI. I was told by my family doctor that he saw a change in my last scan. He said he thought it was scar tissue but wanted my Neurosurgeon to have a look to confirm. I waited a full month before I heard from Foothills Hospital and they still did not have a clear answer for me. They said they see a change in my MRI and they recommend chemo and radiation even though they cannot guarantee it is my tumor growing back so again I have chosen not to do radiation and chemo and have gone back to alternative treatments.
I spent Feb to August in Toronto. I came back to Lethbridge Alberta in August as I wanted to try to give my 11 year marriage another try. Big mistake! My husband doesn't understand why I am so angry and this has caused matters to get even worse. I have done everything I possibly can do get better (counselling, antidepressants, etc...) but my husband (ex now) has asked me to move out of our home for 6 months until I can get better so now I am homeless and I need help. Since I moved out I am not considered common law anymore so he doesn't need to help me and he refuses too. The only income I have is Disability which is 950.00 a month. My ex says I need to get a job! I have my car for sale and I am selling almost everything I own to get by. I have 2 cats and a dog and I have no idea where to even start. I will not give up my animals as they are the only things I have left! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My next MRI is on January 17, 2018.
