Shelter for Codman Cows

Driving through Lincoln, you may at times see cows in storms and severe weather without access to shelter even under simple three-sided sheds or trees.*
While all of Audubon's Drumlin Farm cows have access to shelter, Codman cows are out in fields with no shelter 24/7 regardless of weather.
This Go Fund Me page was started because the MSPCA has advised Codman Farm to provide shelter to cows put in certain fields, in accordance with state laws, and Codman farm has agreed to provide simple shelter via sheds, but does not have the money to purchase them.
I offered to the farmer and Codman Farm board that I would try to raise the money for the simple shelters, and started this Go Fund Me page on the cows behalf.
The farmer has provided specific information on the shelters he would use for the cows. He got a quote from the company he would be willing to accept sheds from: Sunset Barns ( https://www.sunsetbarns.com/run-in-sheds.php ). The total cost for the shelters is $7,240.00. This includes delivery.
This is the description of the shed for each field:
• 10x14 run in 1 opening
• White pine board and batten siding
• 4' high oak kickboards
• Rough cut oak framing
While this Go Fund Me page is dedicated to raising money for Codman Farm to purchase two sheds, once we raise enough for one shed we will offer it to Codman. If we don't raise enough for one by May 2020 or Codman's willingness to shelter the cows changes by the time we raise the funds, your donation will be sent to help the animals at Sunny Meadow Farm sanctuary ( http://sunnymeadowsanctuary.org /), a safe haven for rescued farm animals.
* One of the photos shared earlier is from 2015 is of the cows then living on the Codman North field and using temporary shelter since removed. The photo above is of the cows in the Police Pasture. Those are the two fields a sunset barn shelter will be provided if we can raise the funds. The cows thank you!
