Words alone cannot express enough what a kind, loving, generous, person Shelly is.  To know her is to have a blessing in your life!  She has touched many lives.  Shelly has always put others and country before herself!  Shelly is making the necessary sacrifices and focusing on herself to beat this cancer. She has a new journey in her life and is determined to fight her cancer until it is gone.  Her family appreciates all donations no matter how small, but even more importantly we appreciate your prayers!!  Please help Shelly fight this cancer naturally!!!

Shelly joined the U.S. Army immediately following her high school graduation. Her Army assignments carried her from coast to coast in the U.S. and overseas to Germany.  Soon she was offered a job working as a civilian for the U.S. Air Force in the Pentagon. In the years to follow she left the Pentagon and opened a graphic design business in Virginia (a single, woman owned business – which employed two others). In 2001, the Pentagon called on her to make the “American Heroes” exhibit which commemorated those killed in the Pentagon during 9/11. Shelly did this exhibit for ‘cost’, not making any profit from the exhibit, getting other companies to donate time/materials and putting her heart and soul into its construction. This exhibit displays, in part, walls with each person’s name of those killed in the Pentagon on 9/11 (where their name can be ‘rubbed’ onto paper), and still stands 50’ feet from where the nose of the aircraft entered the Pentagon on that terrifying day.

Shelly spent the next 4 years working 360 days per year, 16 – 18 hours per day, building her business doing numerous displays/exhibits for the Pentagon, the International Spy Museum, Booz-Allen Hamilton, the State Capitol, the White House (fabricating the presidential seal along with other departmental seals), the Federal Courts and countless other government agencies and civilian businesses. To this day she still makes the same personal sacrifices for her company and dedicates her time and energy to the country she loves.

Shelly’s life was recently turned upside down. She found out during her drive from Virginia to Texas (during the Christmas holidays, 2016) that she had breast cancer.  She has since had a biopsy of the tumor and one lymph node which tested positive for Stage 2b/HER2 type cancer.

What made this most devastating is that both her grandmothers had breast cancer and underwent mastectomies, chemotherapy and radiation.  Years later, both grandmothers eventually got cancer again, but in a different form (one bone cancer, the other Leukemia…which resulted in their passing).  Also diagnosed with breast cancer, was her mother, who died of breast cancer at the age of 48.

After the cancer diagnosis, Shelly immediately researched HER2 and how she could combat it.  Oncologists advised her to do a mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation.  After watching "The Truth About Cancer" video series, reading countless books and researching various treatments, she decided to fight her breast cancer naturally.  Since the decision, Shelly switched to an all plant based diet and in three months has lost over 30 lbs.  Furthermore, she has changed her work schedule (reducing hours worked and stress levels, reduced the size of her business - selling off equipment), started "juicing", receives Vitamin C IV's twice per week, does acupuncture and has implemented a daily exercise routine.  These actions have led to the shrinking of the tumor.

Shelly has spent many thousands of dollars of her savings for treatments and tests that insurance will NOT cover.  She now needs professional help from doctors who specialize in fighting this type of cancer naturally.  Toward the middle of July to the middle of August, Shelly will spend four weeks at a Center for Advanced Medicine in North Carolina to be treated by a D.O. who specializes in, and has spent over 25 years successfully fighting cancer.  The family supports her decision to fight this naturally (with a lot of science).  At this time, Shelly has exhausted her savings, so family members have set up this GoFundMe account to help with expenses/loss of income from work during the treatment.  The 4-week alternative care stay in North Carolina does not take insurance, because insurance will not cover their advanced methods of treatment.  We expect the cost of this and subsequent "all-natural" treatments to be around $100,000.

Shelly is 100% positive that she can beat this through natural healing.  Your donation, no matter how small, will help her reach her funding goal and offset the expense.  As she beats this cancer, Shelly will track her experiences and share the process here and it will be updated periodically to let you know her condition and progress. Please see Shelly’s blog (coming soon) on this page if you are interested in learning about the treatments and progress that she is making during this fight. Shelly and her family are grateful for your contributions and prayers.
