Shelley's Survival Fund

Making this post is very hard for me. I never ask anything from anyone if I can help it. As most of you know I've been battling advanced breast cancer for 2 years now with many ups and downs. Upon diagnosis I was self employed with no insurance or benefits. I have been unable to work and have very limited to no income. I have exhausted help from very close friends and I have refinanced my mortgage several times to survive the financial battle. My home is now on the market and I will be moving back to my home in Newfoundland. 

Yesterday the CRA despite my trying to work with them on an outstanding g balance depleted my account of every last cent I had! They are fully aware of my situation but they said I should pay them before paying my mortgage. Canadians are supposed to be compassionate. We take in people from around the world and give them benefits. The way they have treated me is inhumane. Sure take a garnishment but you don't leave a sick person destitute! 

Any donation you can make will be greatly appreciated and keep me fed and on my feet until I can sell my home and make my move.
