Shelley's liver transplant

Donation protected
Rick & Shelley McDonald of Highland Village have experienced a true life-changing family crisis and are in great need of financial assistance.
Shelley, a RN, became ill on Dec. 1, 2017.  She was admitted into the hospital , after a visit to the ER.  She was transferrred to ICU with a diagnosis of an enlarged liver and pancreatitis.
On Dec. 7, because of the seriousness of her condition, she was transferred to UT Southwestern Dallas.  On Dec. 12, surgery was performed for hematoma of the abdomen.  She was sent home to wait to see if condition would improve but less than 2 weeks later, she was readmitted to UT Southwestern.
Since her readmission, Shelley has undergone a liver transplant.  There have been many complications which have resulted in 5 additional surgeries and more than a dozen procedures.  Most surgeries and procedures required followup ICU stays.  She has also been on dialysis, due to poor kidney function.
Rick, her husband, is a speech therapist but has had difficulty working due to the need to be at the hospital by her side.  Bills are acruing daily and income has been greatly reduced.  Financial obligations are very stressful, in addition to Shelley's physical stress.
This sweet couple have endured so much in the last 4 months.  Any financial assistance would be greatly appreciated as they struggle to get their lives back.
