shelley's story

Hi!  My name is Shelley  and this is my story. I’m from New Brunswick but I moved to Calgary on February 11th of this year from Regina.

My journey here in Calgary has been a very difficult one.

I fled Regina to end domestic violence and I found myself in a women’s shelter for 3 weeks. From there, I went to the mustard seed shelter in the Great Plains area of Calgary. I cannot sing the praises enough for the seed. They are wonderful!

While at the shelter I made 2 terrible decisions to trust someone. First of all, I trusted a man with my bank card and he stole$800 from me. Secondly, the second timeI trusted a person with my friendship andit almost cost me my life. I was almost killed at his hands

the guy went to jail and is now out. The emotional scars left on me will haunt me for the rest of my life.

Imreaching out for help to get my life out of storage. Every thing I own is in there as well as my children’s.  Pacific moving and storage have my things and they have been wonderful with me, but they need to dispose. Of my items. My bill with them is$5000.

I also would like to have a line on a 1 bedroom apartment. I can afford $500 per month.

on top of everything else, I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and diabetes in mid October. I’m having issues but I canget they it.

if anyone who helps me, I am an LPN.  I can repay by caring for you or your family until the loan is repaid.

Thank you so much for your kindness in my time of need
