Shell Lake Curling Rink Fundraiser

As you have probably heard, our community of Shell Lake recently lost our Curling Rink. On August 14, 2021 the rink burned to the ground, which is believed to be arson. There was some insurance on the rink, but it is not enough to rebuild without more funds. This curling rink was a core part of our winter activities for many, many years. Many of our community members grew up watching their parents and grandparents curl, and this is also where they learned the sport as well. Many memories were made in that rink. It was more than just a place to curl, it was a social place for everyone. Community from all ages utilized that building. We no longer have this and it has saddened members of the community to know that we will have yet another year with no curling and socializing in the rink.
