Our Golden Plains environmental and amenity group is seeking your help!

If 900 plus truck movements up and down the Bannockburn/Teesdale/Shelford highway containing broiler chooks from eight sheds concerns you, not to mention the damage to our waterways and other environmental impacts, please get behind our group now.

The Shelford Environmental and Amenity group is battling against a Melbourne-based broiler company about several environmental and amenity issues that the broiler farm and associated wood chipping plant will bring.

A final hearing at VCAT in November will determine if it all goes ahead.

So far, a small group of residents has been funding the lawyers and specialist contractors required to measure the adverse environmental and amenity issues these factories will bring in preparation for the VCAT hearing.
