Shelby's Bridge2Success College Fund

Shelby Morrison is a 20 year old college sophomore with an amazing story of strength, perseverance, courage, love, and compassion. She is an inspiration to everyone she meets and she's got BIG dreams!!

Shelby is a survivor of sexual abuse. Shelby was abused from age 5-15 by her biological father and one day had the courage to speak up!! It was a decision that changed her life forever. Shelby knew walking into school that day that she would never see her father again and that her life would never be the same. How many of you could make the same decision at such a young age? Her bravery is astounding!!

Thankfully on the same day Shelby's Aunt & Uncle stepped up to be her forever mom & dad.The Connelly's gladly opened their home to Shelby & have acted as if Shelby was theirs from the start. The Connelly's are loving, caring, & supportive parents and they are doing their best to provide for Shelby. As many of you know college is expensive & they need your help to continue to provide the best opportunities life has to offer, as they have done for the past 5 years.

During Shelby's high school career she went on to win 4 consecutive UIL state wrestling titles in Texas, while remaining undefeated!!!Shelby received a wrestling scholarship and now attends Oklahoma City University, but is still very much a TEXAS girl at heart.

Shelby is passionate about her studies, wrestling, faith, family, and friends and encourages those working with child abuse victims to "keep your head up!" She is studying Psychology with a minor in CAST, Child Advocacy Studies Training, and plans to work with child abuse survivors and their families when she finishes her studies.

Shelby needs YOUR help to continue those studies. Although she receives some scholarship money for wrestling, she still needs funds to pay the rest of her tuition and fees at OCU.

It should not hurt to be a child and there should be NO barrier in Shelby's pathway to finishing her college career. If there is only one thing I know about this bright young woman, it is that she is a fighter. She will continue to pursue her dreams regardless of the challenges that might come along!
