Sheila, Jaxon and Kassidy Memorial

Donation protected
On Friday February 23, my sister Sheila and her 6-year-old son Jaxon were killed in a car accident. Her 3-year-old daughter Kassidy sustained a traumatic brain injury and passed away at 3:47am this morning. Her organs are being donated. My youngest niece, 18-month-old Bella, miraculously survived with a few broken bones. Our family is shattered. The grief is overwhelming.

Sheila was just 29. Sweet, thoughtful and caring. She loved her family so, so much. Her family was her world. We were joking about having more kids a few days ago and now she is gone. She loved my son Joey as much as she loved her own children and always had great advice for me as a new mom. The thought of never seeing and talking to her again is unbearable.

Jaxon was like his mom in so many ways. So sweet and kind. He had a great imagination and was a amazing storyteller. He was the best older brother and loved making everyone laugh. He was one of the smartest kids I’ve ever met. I will miss coming through the door seeing Jaxon running to give me a hug and yelling my name. He was the first of his generation and the child that made me an aunt. I will always cherish the memories we had together. He was a first grader at Hudson Elementary School. A bright student and wonderful classmate. Jax enjoyed a full life, flying kites, fishing, bike riding and solving puzzles and board games. Just last month he sang with his grandmother and aunt for his church.

Kassidy was fearless and adventurous. She loved swimming, bike riding, gymnastics and playing with her siblings. At just 3 she was diving into the water and planned to be on the swim team. A true artist, Kassidy loved to paint, draw and color. She attended preschool and also sang in church.

Jaxon and Kassidy spent almost every weekend with their grandparents who doted on and adored them dearly.

We are now on a long hard journey trying to come to terms with this enormous loss. I wish so badly for just one more moment with them. To know that Jaxon, Kassidy and Sheila are in heaven together is a great comfort.

So many of you have reached out and I can’t thank you enough for your kind words and offers of help. It means so much to us. There are enormous expenses for funerals, hospital bills and for life moving forward for Marc and Bella. Any donation will help ease that burden. Also, writing any memories or thoughts you had of this family would be greatly appreciated.

Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prays. Hug and cherish your family tonight for us.
