*UPDATE: We raised enough money to cover registrations for 20 of the 50 women who applied for scholarships - so we are going to keep going! Please consider making even the smallest donation - every dollar helps!*
100% of the money raised from this GoFundMe campaign (after GoFundMe fees) will go towards purchasing registration packages for women who couldn't otherwise afford to attend SHE RECOVERS in LA . This informative, inspiring weekend-long event will take place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles from September 14 - 16, 2018. Your support of this scholarship program will enable more women to tap into or further establish the support and connection that they need in order to keep living and thriving in recovery. 100% of the donations will be personally handled and withdrawn by me to purchase the scholarship spots. We are very grateful for your help in ensuring that more women have access to this empowering event in Los Angeles. When women heal, families heal, and so do communities.
For this program 2/3 of the scholarships will be awarded based solely on financial need (self-identified by applicants).
The final 1/3 of the scholarships will be awarded (via lottery) to women in financial need who identify with one or more of the following categories:
*Single mothers of dependent children
*Women from historically underserved populations (including Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Queer/Trans/Non-Binary/Black/African American/Hispanic/Latino Americans/Native American/Canadian Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit and Métis)/Asian Americans/Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander/Veterans)
*Women who work or volunteer in the recovery space (including recovery advocates, bloggers, podcast hosts)
*Young women in recovery (30 or under)
*Local women (living in Los Angeles)

SHE RECOVERS is currently the largest online platform available to women in or seeking recovery from a wide variety of issues, including substance use and addiction, trauma, codependency, loss and other life challenges. SHE RECOVERS creates welcoming spaces and transformative opportunities – on and offline – to connect, support and empower recovering women.
SHE RECOVERS envisions a future where women from diverse backgrounds have the access, resources, support and freedoms necessary to cultivate individualized and holistic pathways to find health, sustain long-term recovery, achieve their potential, and help other women to do the same.
Please note:
Scholarship recipients are responsible for covering any travel costs of getting to SHE RECOVERS in LA (gas or airfare, ground transportation etc.) and must arrange for and pay for their own accommodations in Los Angeles and any meals not included in the in LA registration package.
