Hi, my name is Mike and I’m a nurse here in the UK. Recently, my friend and his wife from the Philippines had their very first child, a beautiful daughter, named Ava. The moment they laid eyes on her, all they can see is that God has sent them a darling little angel to bring up in this world, and that they would do anything and everything to protect her. Sadly, about a month ago after going home post delivery, Ava had to go back to the hospital and the family received a shocking news. Ava was diagnosed to have partial intestinal obstruction secondary to imperforated anus with recto-fourchette fistula; sepsis neonatorum (klebsiella pneumoniae). Due to this, she has been confined to Neonatal ICU. Although my friend and his family have been exhausting their resources, they were never enough to pay all the medical bills for their baby Ava.
