Support for Shawn

Hello friends and family, Shawn Walters, my dear friend of 35 years, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Many of you know and love her too. Although Shawn has good medical insurance, as you know there are many ancillary medical expenses that are not covered as well as copays and deductibles. Shawn has enough stress worrying about the upcoming regimen of chemo and radiation treatments and her success in beating this will be closely related to her ability to minimize stress and increase her wellness!

She doesn't need additional stress from worrying about money. I'm setting up this account in hopes of helping her alleviate some of that worry and focus her attention on getting well.  

I'm setting the initial goal at $5000 with the understanding that all the money will be spent on her wellness and any money not spent after she is cancer free will be donated to a cancer research or support organization (not sure which one yet).

I know how much we all want to "DO something" when someone is ill... This is something we can DO that will have tangible and meaningful results.

Please help me show Shawn how much we love her and want her well!
