Shawn's Journey Fighting Cancer

On January 10, 2018 our son, Shawn Evans was diagnosed with Squamous Cell carcinoma in his throat, and it has spread to his lymph nodes. This mass is inoperable and will require aggressive chemo and radiation therapy.
Shawn has never smoked or abused tobacco in any form, which is the most common reason this cancer occurs. Cancer is a word that noone wants to hear, and it's hard to understand why such a good person has to face this trial ahead of him. However, we know God's got this and His plan is perfect.
Shawn has spent his entire adult life doing for others and reaching out to help those in need, in whatever way he could. He is an amazing person who loves and serves the Lord with his whole heart. Shawn, his wife Charlotte, and their boys Dustyn and Jarrod are a true blessing to know.
This past summer God provided a better job opportunity for Shawn and he moved to Columbus Ohio. Although he has a good job he has been told he will not be able to work for at least 3-6 months while he receives his chemo and radiation therapy. Shawn's job should be held for him when he is well enough to return to work. However,all new employees have a 1 year probation period in which they aren't given full benefits. For instance,during this probabtion period he has no sick leave. Therefore he will not receive any type of paycheck. He is hopeful that he will be able to keep his health insurance, but there will be a lot of out of pocket expenses that their family will be responible for. All co-insurance, deductibles, Co-pays and prescriptions just to name a few.
In addition to Shawn's worry of his medical diagnosis, he is worried of how to provide for his family. He has been the sole provider as his wife has many health issues and is disabled and cannot work. With him not receiving a paycheck they will also have to maintain their housing and living expenses.
I just ask that you pray for my son's health and the needs of him and his family. If you feel in your heart you can give any monetary donation to help ease their burden, I know God will bless you for your sacrifice.
If you cannot give, we truly understand. But please pray for Shawn, he needs a miracle.
