Shawn Eubanks Memorial Service

Donation protected
On the morning of October 9th Shawn was doing what he did most mornings. Getting ready to Open Whiskey Tango Firearms.

Shawn collapsed and passed away. He was found by his mom. It’s a tragic thing...to outlive your child.  No parent should ever have to bury their child.

From the moment he was handed his first BB gun at age 6 Shawn’s fascination with firearms was born. In 2013 his dream of owning his own pro shop became a reality. Many of his customers became his friends. Whiskey Tango Firearms was not just a shop; It was a place to gather, a place to talk about current events shaping our world. One might call it the ultimate man cave.  Shawn wasn’t out to make a profit. He truly wanted his customers to be fitted with the best firearm that suited their needs.

Shawn not only held a vast knowledge of Firearms, he was also a history buff.  Those of you that knew Shawn know how passionate he was about history.

Shawn was also an animal lover, he loved his cats. Any critter in need would find a loving, helping hand in Shawn.  As a kid Shawn could be found gathering lizards, snakes, frogs or some other ghastly slimy reptile.  It made for an interesting childhood. He was without a doubt the embodiment of all things “boy”.

In his 20s Shawn fulfilled another life long dream. He earned his private pilots license. Shawn was truly meant to fly.

We have been left with a huge hole in our hearts that can never be filled. We will miss his quick wit, we will miss his stories but most of all we will miss our brother, our Bubby, our friend and childhood partner in crime. One couldn't ask for a better brother (with just a bit of brotherly torture thrown in for good measure, as brothers often do). The grief we feel is consuming. Shawn was an only son taken far too soon. We were blessed in having him for 57 years. We never imagined he would leave us so soon. A life time of memories and memories to be made. Dreams and plans for the future now distant and void.

We would like to invite Shawn’s comrades, our friends and family to help us with funds for his Memorial service. And to help his mom who he so lovingly cared for.  Shawn was the sole provider for his 78 year old mom. We need to be sure she is taken care of.  He loved his family.
We also must continue to pay the rent and bills on the shop for an undetermined amount of time.

Our dear son, brother and friend,

A million tears fell

Like stars falling from space

A hole in our hearts

Has taken their place

Gentle and kind

Your soul is at rest

Sent home your an Angel

Awaiting his wings

A promise of new life

For Heaven to keep.
