Rock and Roll Society executive director, Todd Crawshaw will sacrifice his luscious locks FOR THE KIDS of the CAM program!!! We have until the end of the Sunday Soul Service at the Newcastle Pub on November 3rd at 6:30 pm to reach the target amount. Once the target has been reached, he will sit quietly and calmly, perhaps we may have to bind him, and his mane shall be shorn, in the name of ROCK AND ROLL. Post shave Todd will kindly accept gifts of beanies, toques, news boy caps, ball caps, head socks, fedoras, etc..

Wanting to know more about the society and CAM?
Well, The Rock and Roll Society of Edmonton started out as a close circle of passionate music lovers putting on small benefit shows with the express purpose of showcasing the best that rock and roll has to offer. Over the years, what started out as a hall party has turned into an amazing two day festival of rock music featuring local and international recording acts.
The Rock and Roll Society’s main goal is to help support the Center for Arts and Music program. CAM reaches out to children who would otherwise have few opportunities to participate in the arts, and our goal is to reach them during critical after school hours through music.
At CAM, children learn how to write songs, play instruments and perform together on stage. In the process, they earn self-esteem, respect for themselves and others, and much needed self-confidence.
Studies show that children who are exposed to the arts do better in school and other areas of life. We see this first hand every day, and all agencies confirm the positive impact the program is having in the lives of these young adults. In fact, one agency advised that serious incidents at their centre dropped from several per month to zero as a result of student engagement in CAM.
We are dedicated to these kids and helping to preserve that sweet flavour of rock that only gets sweeter with time. We are proud of where we are now and will always remember where we started. It wouldn’t be possible without the support of all you Rock and Roll fans out there. We are thrilled to have put some of the genre's biggest stars and local gems on stage, under the sun, in beautiful Hawrelak Park, and we will continue to do so with your support!
