<div>His warrior spirit left his body peacefully on the sunny afternoon of Friday April 14, 2023, at Hamilton General Hospital surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with a cancer called lymphoma. We say chi-miigwetch to Shaun for the legacy he leaves behind with us in his artwork, advocacy, and the many lives he has touched with his knowledge, humour, and kindness during his time here on Mother Earth.

<div>We wish to also say chi-miigwetch to his community of supporters and friends over his years as an artist, whom he considered as his extended family, and provided him with so much encouragement and love.

<div>As all who knew him would agree, Shaun's proudest accomplishment in his life was raising his cherished daughters, Shauna and Taya, in a good way. His girls have a long journey of mourning the loss of their father and we would like to honour his wishes in making sure they are taken care of.
</div>

<div>If you wish to support us in providing for Shaun's daughters in their bright future ahead of them, we thank you in advance.
