As most of you know Shaun passed away last week. Everyone who really knew Shaun saw past his struggles and into the core that made him the man he was. His Heart. Shaun had a genuine spirit and generous heart. He loved his family unconditionally and was an extremely loyal friend. These times are the hardest for the family and friends who must pick up and continue with a large part of themselves and their lives missing. One of the burdens that come along with these difficult times are ones of finance. Let’s band together and help the family through the hardest days of their lives and raise money towards the funeral expenses. Every single dollar will help ease some of this burden. Shaun A. Earhart, 33, of Carlisle, died Friday, December 1, 2017 at UPMC Pinnacle Health West Shore Hospital. Born April 30, 1984 in Harrisburg to Samuel L. and Sheila G. Richardson Earhart of Carlisle. Shaun loved fishing, his dog Papi and spending time with family and friends.
He attended Boiling Springs High School. Shaun will be remembered as a kind man with a big heart which he last displayed by donating his organs to help others in need. Surviving in addition to his parents are his girlfriend, Julie Thompson; two brothers, Samuel L. (wife Amber) Earhart Jr. of Mechanicsburg and Seth Earhart of Carlisle; his niece and nephew, Ava and Luke; maternal grandmother, Gertrude Shepley of Scotrun; step-grandmother, Bev Earhart of Camp Hill and three aunts, Brenda (husband Richard) Bell of Canadensis, Cherie Knight of Camp Hill; Lisa Casler of Mechanicsburg and five cousins, Destiny, Nevaeh, Lexi, Chris and Jim.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Henry Richardson and his paternal grandparents, Samuel A. and Kathryn Earhart. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013 with Rev. Jan Hughes officiating.
Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Newville. A viewing will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
