Sharren Laughs In The Face Of Cancer

HELP SHARREN FIGHT HER RARE CANCER!

In 2017, Sharren was diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer (ovarian clear cell carcinoma) which like most ovarian cancers was misdiagnosed.
The 17 cm tumor ruptured prior to surgery, leaking cancerous fluid into her abdomen.

After 8 months of intensive chemotherapy and radiation therapy, no cancer was detectable.
However, 6 months later the cancer had returned and is now on her liver and inoperable.
It is believed the return of the cancer is due to the tumor rupturing in the first place, leaking the microscopic cancer cells.

The week before Xmas 2018 her oncologist told her she had a terminal prognosis.
6-12 months to live. worst case scenario.

NEVER GIVE UP!

We looked into  getting onto a Clinical Trial with dual immunotherapy drugs in Australia.

There are some positive results from melanoma cancer patients with these immunotherapy drugs.
But it is still early days for Sharren’s rare cancer, initial results so far are looking positive.

Whilst still waiting to get onto the trial, Sharren has unbelievably been given Early Patient Access to these cutting edge immunotherapy drugs on compassionate grounds from the drug company, for which she and her family are extremely grateful.

However, the administration costs of the drugs and all related appointments with a specialist is payable by Sharren herself.
The estimated cost of this amounts to approx. GBP £50,000.

Although Sharren has been told in December 2018 that she is terminal, she is continuing living her life and believes that she can and will beat this.

She has changed her lifestyle radically since her diagnosis including her diet. She switched to a sugar free, mainly plant based and feels very positive about this.

She has a lot of energy and tries to laugh every day.
She continues to make her art and remains creative and is fun to be around.

Her husband and young teenage son are very supportive and do whatever they can to lighten her burden.

Furthermore, all of their close relatives live on different continents which means that all the caregiving falls onto Sharren’s husband, Lewis.

Sharren posts her creative creations on Instagram with personal thoughts in poetry - it is all filled with hope, light and love.

She is an epitome of inspiration to many other cancer victims who look up to her for her strong fighting spirit, determination, strength and character.

We are hoping to not only buy time but to see the cancer cured.
