Hello everyone, my name is Sharpay, I am 5 months young and yes, I am a Chinese shar-pei! 

My parents, who were clueless at the time, bought me from a bad breeder and I was born with abnormal elbows causing them to be weak and brittle. At 16 weeks, both my elbows got fractured at the same time, my left elbow was worst :( . It had become what you call a Y fracture where my elbow has broken into 3 pieces. I was brought to the PDSA who offered to amputate my leg because of the nature of the surgery. However, my left elbow is not as bad and can be saved with a 2 Trans condylar screws tostrengthen my elbow and prevent further damage. The PDSA, offered to do this but with a very low success rate and if it was not successful,I would have to be put down :(.... 

My parents pleaded with the vets for an alternative and thankfully we came across Fitzpatrick neurology and orthopaedic veterinary hospital which offered to save both my legs at a costof £5,500. My parents couldn’t afford this and because I was born with these abnormalities, my insurance would simply not cover this as it is classed as a ‘pre-existing’ condition. All options including Celia Hammond, Blue Cross & RSPCA are all unable to do this procedure. 

All I ask is for a chance at life
