Sharp Start

This is a small community organization built on the idea that when a child feels valued- they will do valuable things. Children have limitless potential and brilliant minds. Studies have proven when children feel confident in themselves- that positive self image has a direct impact on educational success. We are here to help contribute to that connection. Many hard working families have difficulty with the added expense of a new school year. Our program helps each child referred through our private referral service the opportunity to have a new backpack, a new pair of sneakers, and a new outfit for school. For some families this is a way to receive a little extra help in an personal and private manner. We receive the ages, clothing and shoe
sizes and a couple other preferences of each child. We purchase the items and then meet parents or families at mutual locations. This program has been a very successful and positive experience so far and we are incredibly excited for it to grow over time! All items purchased are logged and recorded with receipts appropriately. We look for great quality items that are great deals! Our aim is to reach as many children as we possibly can. We operate on a first come first serve basis with our fianancial support coming solely from fundraiser profits or donations.
