In November of 2017, an extremely special woman to many was diagnosed with Cancer for the 3rd time. Sharon Chursinoff (Formerly known as World), is an amazing Mother, Sister, Aunt, Daughter, and dear Friend to many. She is also an extremely loved born and raised former local of Grand Forks BC.
After battling Leukemia in 2007 for over a year, it was no shock to hear the news that she had beaten the disease as she is a very courageous and vibrant woman full of strength. Because of Sharon’s courage, she eventually bounced back and continued fulfilling her deep passion for adventures while living life to its fullest and caring for everything around her. Later in 2016 Sharon was diagnosed with cervical cancer and had undergone surgery which was successful.
However a few weeks ago the unthinkable happened. After finding a lump in her breast, Sharon was diagnosed with breast cancer, making this her third time facing cancer. Unfortunately it is an aggressive type and has spread into her lymph nodes and potentially her lungs. Further tests are currently being done. This diagnosis came as a total shock to family and friends. Sharon is a strong soul who is surrounded by tremendous amounts of loving support and with your help we know that she will beat this.
Sharon is looking into every avenue for healing, but is feeling very overwhelmed with expenses. She is now in Kelowna BC and is currently going through chemotherapy, and will eventually have a double mastectomy following radiation and reconstruction surgery.
This donation page has been set up to help Sharon with so many additional costs associated with treatments that are not covered, such as travel expenses for herself and her two children, accommodation, and most importantly to let her rest in body and mind so she can get through this and heal. Please know that any help at all will contribute to making each day stress free for her, which is what she needs during this time. I know that everyone goes through hard and tough times, but sometimes some need that additional support.
No one knows why these things happen. It seems so unfair to happen to anyone’s loved one. We love you Sharon! You are one of the strongest and most inspiring women out there!
