Sharon’s battle with cancer

Donation protected
Hey there,

For those of you who don’t know me.  My name is Kayla Reinhardt and I would like to share a story about someone I love.  She goes by the name Sharon Campbell, allow me to give you our back story. 6 years ago my brother found the love of his life Shari Scribner and 2 year ago they got married. The moment we (my family) met her family, whom includes her mom Sharon, father John and sister Andrea, I knew that we met our families match.  That Cole and Shari were truly meant to be and not just because they found each other but because we found them. My brother Cole and sister in law Shari just has their first child, baby Evie who is now 3 months old.. Now- The minute I meet Sharon, she made me laugh and has a sarcastic way for dealing with life that made me know her and my dad would be partners in the sarcastic game , however she has my dad beat by a long shot.  Those two can make anyone around them laugh, Sharon beats by dad 10 to 1 easily though . Besides the laughing and good times we have shared over holidays and birthdays she has complete treated us and especially me and my daughter Teagan as her own. She calls me her daughter and I call her my mother. She has taken all of us into her lives and loved us like her own. She may not be blood but she treats us like we are. Now for the hard part-Sharon was diagnosed with ovarian caner that had spread to the brain this month. The sadness that this brings to us i'm sure you can imagine is unbearable.  This last weekend 9-8-18 it was confirmed that her cancer was in fact terminal. In natural Sharon fashion, she advised her oncologist to make sure she gets her 3 months as she has a lot to get in order before she can go. Literally, all Sharon can think of is everyone else, she was not thinking about herself living to have more time for herself but rather she wants to make sure those in her life are taken care of before she goes. In fact she told the doctor she had to go back to work to make sure her boss and coworkers were good to go so they knew everything so when her time comes they are not left in the dust, this also goes for getting other things in order, like spending as much time with her new granddaughter Evie, making sure her home and financial situation is all set so no one has the burden of that after her departure, she also spent an afternoon going over what she would like for her funeral so that could be all set so when it's our time to grieve, we can grieve.  That's just Sharon, completely selfless. She is truly an angel and a one of a kind human being. She is also currently into having gatherings where all of her children and grandchildren can go have fun with her, but at her expense, even though we try and pay it ourselves. We were recently granted the ok to take her down to the hospital cafeteria and we had ourselves a little picnic, if you will. If you can imagine, Sharon come barreling down in her wheelchair with pinwheels blowing and telling her husband to go faster so she can watch them spin, she also insisted on taking Evie and Teagan outside so she could feel the sun and smell the fresh air with the children. There is some good news however in all of this.  With her type of cancer there is an experimental medication she can take as part of a case study. This is a blessing because through science, she is thrilled to be able to help others who might experience what she is experiencing in the future.  Her medical bills and associated costs as you can imagine are expensive.  That’s where I come in. I am asking everyone and anyone willing to donate any amount, to this cause. myself, and our families would be so very thankful and forever in your debt if  you helped give us a little more time with her.

God Bless
