Sharon Jenkins is the beautiful wife of Aaron Jenkins, and an amazing mother of three children, Natasha, Melissa, AJ. not to forget to mention a phenomenal grandmother to her only grandson Skyler.  On June 16, 2015 her life had completly changed when she was offically diagnosed, prior to that it was discovered by doctors that a mass had been growing on the base of her tongue within the neck area. Sharon began experiencing symptoms in mid January two weeks after the death of her mother Barbara Gray.

Sharon's symtoms started out to be what seemed like a common cold such as a sore throat, then the most unexpected turned for the worst. Sharon began to have itchy rashes on her forearms and a burning sensation throughout her body. She knew something wasn't right, so she decided to seek medical attention. Sharon was mis-diagnosed numerous times by different doctors until a biospy was done. Once the biospy came back the diagnosis was Stage 4B Periphal T-Cell Lymphoma (NOS) which is an agressive fast growing nasty cancer that targets the T-Cell immune system. Such cancer targets circulating throughtout the body causing tumors on other organs within the body. For Sharon unfortunetly the tumor on the base of the tongue has grown progressivley and has spread into the lymph nodes of her neck in turn forming multiple tumors there.

Sharon was literally being choked with little space left in her air passage for her to breathe on her own, speak or eat. Emergency surgery was needed to be performed to protect her breathing resulting in a Tracheotomy. Sharon can no longer speak to the ones she loves so much, her friends and family due to the trach in her neck. This is only temporary, until "Tumors shrink". This disease has consumed Sharon's life, forcing her to only be able to consume pureed or liquified foods and has contributed to her drastic weight loss . My mother is also forced to use a pen and paper to express her needs, wants and emotions.

As for her family, this is completly a shock being that Sharon is not a drinker nor smoker. In fact she has practiced a healthy lifestyle by feeding her body with nothing more than a variety of disease prevention foods along with organic fruits and veggies. It would mean the world to her family if we could have the chance to hear her voice again. But even more so it would mean everything to Sharon if she could read her grandson his favorite bedtime story.

The medical industry has instructed that Sharon recieve heavy dosages of chemo along with radiation because she would never survive surgery. Through the family research, chemo kills cancer cells but also kills normal cells, it's posion to the body point blank, in the way that they administor it.  Sharon is now seeing an intergrated doctor who uses a less invasisve low dose chemo approach called Insulin Potention theraphy (IPT). He is only one of a few doctors in the country that is allowed and uses this treatment which involves less side effects and less discomfort to the body. IPT is considered a hollistic treatment so insurance companies do not cover the cost.  Insurance companies will not pay for treatments that have the best chances to cure a disease, they need you to be sick because it generates money into the industry. No illness equals no profit for them. Our backs are against the wall we must act fast because Sharon has progressed into stage 4B.

Please, we need all the help and support that we can get in order to help Sharon fight and defeat this battle. Sharon is in a fight for her life. Those of you who know my mother, knows she has a big heart, she would do anything for anyone.

We just want the best and safest care for her, we want to be able hear her laugh and see her smile again.
