My name is Sharon. I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Zambia for 27 months and loved my experience teaching! I loved it so much that I came back to the US and got my Master's in education. I have now been a teacher in the New York City school system for 2 years.
I am hoping to spend my summer working with teachers and students in Nepal. The program I have been accepted to allows for teachers in the US and UK to work along side Nepalese teachers to improve teaching practices and promote international collaboration and provide a better education for all students regardless of their access to expensive resources.
I would be so extremely appreciative if you would support my journey. In a time of so much conflict, I believe our connections with other people around the world can contribute to peaceful relationships, and who better to learn about the possibility of peace than children craving the opportunity to learn!
