Sharon Beene Medical Care

Sharon worked for over 40 years in the heathcare field helping people every single day. Unfortunately she recently had to stop working due to a sudden, unusual neurological phenomenon. She lost vision, hearing, and basically her sense of independance. Confined to her home, she was unable to return to work and forced into retirement. Her COBRA medical insurance just expired leaving her with no insurance. Last week, she visited her Neurosurgical ENT physician who said she is a complex case and he would like her to go to the Cleveland Clinic. Hampton Roads does not have the expertise to handle Cochlear and Vestibular dysfunction or issues concerning the cerebellum of the brain. He said her rehab sessions will not do anything for her until her symptoms get under control with the proper medications. He feels her Ataxia is permanent and she will continue to require hearing tests and vision checks, but so far there has been no improvement.  Next week she is scheduled for 5 days of infusion therapy of steroids, but she will have to cancel due to lack of insurance. Additionally, Sharon supports her daughter who lives with epilepsy. Therefore 2 poeple are impacted by this story! Sharon is humble and does not feel worthy of a GoFundMe page but I disagree!Please consider helping someone who deserves health and happiness.
