Sharlene - battling cancer 2nd time

Sharlene - an Amazing Women battling cancer for the second time ! Sixteen years ago Sharlene was diagnosed with nasal cancer --- she received radiation and chemotherapy to treat the cancer. After many months, she was able to be in remission. She lost her hearing, but was able to find her amazing voice and continues to sing in the choir. Several weeks ago, she had to have surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from her throat, losing both muscle and part of her tongue. HERE'S THE KICKER - this throat cancer is caused from the radiation to treat the first cancer she suffered . She and her husband have raised 3 wonderful sons. Two of them have disabilities and are now in group homes. However, they bring them home on weekends to still be a family. The other son is living at home, working and going to school. Sharlene loves muse and had a beautiful voice. She enjoys singing in her church gospel choir. She has worked as a social worker for over 39 years. Her husband has retired. However, she has needed to continue to work and is the main income for the family. No one knows the future and she will be out of work for quite awhile. Unfortunately, her insurance does not cover all of her medical expenses. I would give my amazing friend every cent I have, but I know that won't be enough.
