SHARK ATTACK VICTIM ALEX TRAVAGLINI

Help Alex Travaglini who suffered a vicious shark attack on 17th April 2018 at Gracetown, Western Australia, near Margaret River.
Alex was attacked three times on the legs by a monstrous 4m great white shark and fought it off before it returned and dragged him underwater.
The 37-year-old father-of-two, punched the shark before body surfing his way back to shore on a wave.
Witnesses recount how Alex fought for his life, yelling and punching the shark and ending up on the back of it.
Friends used the leg rope from their board as a tourniquet and gave him first aid until emergency crews arrived from Margaret River.
Alex will face an indefinite period off work and would like to use his recovery time to work with shark researchers to create deterrent devices. He is also hoping to work with experts in the field to study behaviour and find a solution to the increasing number of shark attacks.
Funds raised will help to pay for living and medical expenses including future operations, physiotheraphy, counsellors and transport to Perth to see specialists. He is expected to recover ok but faces a very long road ahead.
Alex would like to donate a portion of all proceeds raised, to invesitgate shark research to help better understand shark behaviour and minimise or prevent attacks altogether.
