Sharing Our Love for "Solo Cup" Marvin

Over the years, Marvin has given so much to each and everyone one of us. Whether you attended one of his “All Black” parties at homecoming, one of his “First Friday” gatherings, or showed up at Avenue Blue for “Shrimp Night”, Marvin made sure you had a good time. In all of his events, Marvin used a portion of his proceeds to donate to Hampton University, a community initiative, or someone in need.
This time, Marvin is the one who needs our help. Many of you may not know, Marvin has been fighting an aggressive cancer for the past few months. Treatment has taken a downward spiral and Marvin had to take an extended leave of absence from his job. At the present time, Marvin is at home continuing to fight the good fight. As you are aware, cancer treatment is not cheap and his medical bills continue to add up. Further, he continues to have daily living expenses that need to be paid.
At the establishment of this GoFundMe Campaign, Marvin’s application for short-term disability has not been approved. It appears that this process is taking longer than expected and there is still no guarantee that it will be approved. Therefore, his family and friends are reaching out to each and every one of you to find it in your hearts to give a little of what Marvin gave to you, back to him. No gift is too small and no gift is too large.
We have established an initial goal of $25,000, but we are hoping to raise more. Please take a moment to make a contribution to Marvin’s Campaign and share his story with your friends. We have all been touched by cancer and unfortunately, now it’s Marvin.
