The Cause:
Thank you to everyone who has already donated and shared their fundraising efforts with family and friends to help our mission in providing hot meals for those in need. We recently stepped up our efforts and created this public page in order to help as many essential workers as possible during the pandemic. Given the extremely generous acts of kindness by so many who want to face this pandemic and be a part of something greater, we too want to make a difference. For every donated meal, we pledge to contribute an additional pound of pasta and jar of sauce for these individuals to take home and stock their pantry.
We sincerely thank those who have already contributed, which has helped provide nearly 1,000 freshly made meals delivered to nursing homes, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities in the Chicago land area. This has also resulted in our additional contribution of 1,000 pounds of pasta and sauce to the Chicago Food Depository and various other food banks.
This cause is about being a good neighbor, friend, and citizen to those people who are facing this pandemic head on. We ensure any and all contributions, small or large, will go directly toward this effort as we will update you along the way! We thank you so very much for your help!
Who are the beneficiaries:
· Healthcare providers, nurses, & doctors working in health care facilities and hospitals
· First responders such as paramedics and emergency medical technicians
· Law enforcement officers and firefighters
· Essential individuals working in our Chicagoland area grocery stores
· Vulnerable individuals residing in nursing homes and assisted living centers
Your Impact:
100% of contributions and proceeds will go toward cooking and delivering fresh, hot, and healthy meals to the beneficiaries listed above. All of our efforts will be focused on providing meals to the beneficiaries living or working in the Chicagoland area. Again, you will be updated as to where and when these meals will be delivered from your generosity!
It takes $10.00 to provide a well balanced and delicious meal. And remember we will also give a pound of pasta and jar of sauce to each of these individuals so they have a quick and easy meal to bring home!
The meal kits will be made fresh & will include a variety of Chicken, Pasta, Meatballs, Fresh Veggies, & Salads. The essential workers of our community need the proper fuel to keep fighting this pandemic, and with your help we plan on making that happen!
